more ugh

Still working on issues, still not 3d. Have not yet drilled the rudder lashing holes, but am about to for the starboard hull. Just have to glass the spots first.

Also hit an issue with the backbones being one inch too short, due to a mismeasure back in september or sometime. I had to fix that before continuing.

I wanted the hulls 3d before April, now I'm hoping before May. :(

  1. Hello Thermo, Found your blog. Cool. When you first go 3d you might think that the boat is too small. Then when you get the upper hull sides on it gets a little bigger. The real visual pop (at least for myself and my bride) was when we lined up the hulls and beams and set the cockpit in place. WOW Not many 30' boats have an 8'x10' cockpit and afront porxh and a back porch. We are taking our Tiki 30 to Islamorada for the rendevous and then to Nassau to spend a month in the Exumas in mid June. Maybe you could blast down tothe Keys for a major inspirational pump. Cheers David

  2. Thanks for commenting. I'm looking over pictures of your boat in the Bahamas right now with extreme envy!

We're planning on moving South in the near future. Maybe before this boat is finished. If I can get the hulls up and trailerable I don't have to wait here to finish it! Wife wants to go to Florida and I wouldn't mind being somewhere where it doesn't take a 5 hour drive to see some salt water.
